THE PROCESS
Screen printing is a time-tested method for applying custom designs to fabric. If you’ve explored custom apparel before, you’ve likely heard of screen printing—but what exactly is it, and how does the process work? Below is a simple breakdown of how a typical screen printing order is produced.
1. Artwork Review & Preparation
Your design is carefully reviewed and refined to ensure the best print quality while keeping production efficient and cost-effective.
2. Screen Creation
The finalized artwork is printed onto film and exposed to UV light to create a mesh screen containing your design. A separate screen is produced for each color in the artwork to ensure clean, accurate printing.
3. Press Setup
Each screen is aligned and positioned by color on a professional screen printing press. The machine is then calibrated and prepared for a full production run.
4. Production Printing
Garments are placed onto multiple print platens, allowing large quantities to be printed efficiently and consistently. This setup ensures uniform results across your entire order.
