THE PROCESS

Screen Printing is a time tested method of applying custom designs to fabric. If you've shopped around for custom garments before, you've probably heard of screen printing, but what exactly is it and how can you use it? Here is a look at the process of a screen printing order.

1. Your design is analyzed and refined in order to produce the best print and most economic price.

2. the art is then printed on film and UV treated to create a mesh screen burned with your design. A separate screen is created for each color in your design.

3. The screens are then stretched and postitioned by color on the arms of a Screen Print Machine and set for a production run.

4. A large number of garments are individually arrayed on the many armed print platforms allowing for simultaneous printing of your order en masse.

 

When should I use
Screen Printing?

Screen printing is the GO TO process for large print runs because of the ability to simultaneously print a large number of units in batches. The printing process favors simple designs with few colors.

Strengths

- Effective on most garment types.

Limitations

- 36 unit minimum.

- 6 color maximum.

- Requires vectored art.
